Our Story

CoolaWand started with a very simple thought.

Why is cooling down a child’s food still such an improvised moment? Blowing hard, waiting around, testing again… It’s something parents do several times a day, every day. We invent little hacks like freezing milk in ice cube trays, stirring endlessly. And one day, as I stood there wondering whether I was about to drop my husband’s whisky ice cubes into my son’s piping-hot soup, I realised there simply wasn’t a proper object for it.

I’m Juliette, the founder of CoolaWand. I come from a visual storytelling and design background, and I’ve spent years designing environments and worlds where objects are meant to be more than just functional, where they shift perspective, invite imagination, and make people see everyday things differently.

When I became a parent of three, I was genuinely surprised that this small, universal moment hadn’t been properly thought through and that something obvious was missing.

I didn’t want an electronic or cumbersome gadget, or another clever “hack”. I wanted a simple, reassuring tool that does one job well: helping small things cool down to a comfortable temperature, gently and predictably.

CoolaWand is made without technology or chemicals. It’s a well-designed object, filled with demineralised water that freezes, and fits naturally into daily life. You use it without thinking too much about it, and then you wonder how you ever managed without it.

And yes, it’s a wand.

Because somewhere between designing imaginary worlds and growing up as a Harry Potter fan, I always wanted a magic wand; one that actually does something.

CoolaWand isn’t about pretending. It’s about believing that even the most practical objects can carry a bit of wonder, and that everyday life deserves that too.

That’s why I created it.
